Anna, you might have one of the cleanest 60s in Australia. How did you get your hands on such a vehicle?

Honestly, I’m not sure how I got so lucky. I was living in Byron at the time and I met one of the boys who restored it. I remember seeing this one for the first time and fell in love. They had a couple of restored 60’s at the time and I managed to come up with a deal get him to part with this one.

We can already tell people are going to have heaps of questions about the interior upholstery. Is it a custom job?

Yes, it’s a custom job. As far as I know, it was done on the Gold Coast by a lady called Megan. She’s done a bloody good job. I mean who doesn’t love beige leather trim? I always catch people snooping on the interior haha.

What is your favourite thing about the 60?

I don’t think I could tell you just one thing. My top three features would be the split rims, tailgate and the front end. I try to keep it as factory as possible because these vehicles are amazing just as they are. It’s a great conversation starter too, I’ve met countless cool people because of it.

What are your future plans for the 60?

I don’t really have any.. just drive it I guess! It’s my daily driver at the moment and a very slow one but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I didn’t buy it to lock it up in the shed, she deserves to be driven! I’m sure a trip around Australia is on the cards soon too.
